Author and journalist Nan Robertson (1926- ) was born in Chicago and graduated from Northwestern University (1948). She was a special correspondent for the New York Herald Tribune European Edition before going to the New York Times, where she worked as a correspondent based in New York, Washington, and Paris (1955-1983).
